In this episode, Jonathan Sherrill shares his journey from
working in his father’s Florida metal roofing company to helping
lead its sale in 2010 — and then running the business for six more
years before being let go under a non-compete. He and his father
later launched a new steel company in Georgia, whose eventual sale
far exceeded his expectations. After exiting, Jonathan struggled to
redefine his identity amid the transition, which led him to launch
Waypoint Founders. The firm helps entrepreneurs prepare for life
after a business exit by grounding their emotions, mindset, and
sense of purpose. He is also the co-author of The Extraordinary
Exit, a book that explores how to navigate the exit
process.
